There are so many great things he said, I wish I could just retype it here, but I thought I would just share some of the highlights for you, as it goes right along with my new "a dance a day" blog mentality.
"Have you ever noticed that people can usually find whatever they are looking for? Look hard enough, and you can discover both good and bad in almost anyone and anything."
"Some look at the glass and see it as half full. Others see it as half empty. How you see it is up to you."
"The word of God admonishes the followers of Christ to be "pure, ...peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy." For those who make peace, "the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace" (James 3:17, 18)."
"We have a choice. We can seek for the bed in others. Or we can make peace and work to extend to others the understanding, fairness, and forgiveness we so desperately desire for ourselves. It is our choice; for whatsoever we seek, that we will certainly find."
The was a great reminder for me. Even though I'm looking everyday for the good to write about and dance about, there are days when it is harder to find. I admit that sometimes I struggle to focus on the good, when many things around me don't go the way I would like them too. I need to remember... and I am discovering that you really will find whatever you are looking for. If I look for the good, I will find it. And I'm my spirit is much more at peace when I focus on the beauty and good surrounding me.
I'm having one of those days that I'm fighting for what is right. Dealing with a problem involving a new car and getting nowhere. It's getting me all frazzled but that doesn't help at all...
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your car issue. I wish everything always ran smoothly... but then life wouldn't be life. Do what you can, fight for what is right, and let the Lord take it from there.
ReplyDeleteI hope it all gets worked out for you soon.
Even if you are faithful... it can still be stressful. :) Good luck!!!
